Our privately-owned client, who is based in Hampshire and undertakes projects throughout the South East, has been established for over 35 years and is a highly reputable name within the demolition and civil engineering industry. They have an annual turnover of £30M.
As a company their core areas of expertise include demolition, earthworks, site remediation, asbestos removal and strip out and working as a subcontractor and main contractor, they pride themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to program, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality.
About the position:
Due to healthy order books and a large influx of projects, there is a need for an experienced demolition site manager to join the operational side of the business and assist the management team.
As a Site Manager, you’ll be given excellent training and development which will help you manage your team successfully. Being part of a company who are keen to ensure you are working to the highest standards, will build your reputation even further in the industry.
You’ll be reporting to the senior team (Project Manager/Contract Manager) who have a wealth of experience and qualifications behind them. My client is a firm believer of set standards across the whole company so no one is left out regarding progression and everyone has an equal opportunity.
As my client is a specialist contractor you’ll find you will be working on complex and high profile projects across London and the Home Counties. As they have a reputation for taking on innovative and large projects you’ll be managing a team that differs in size depending on the project and skill set. However, your previous experience and what you learn with my client in your career will help ensure all projects are completed on time and successfully.
About the requirements:
To be considered for this position, individuals must have the following: SMSTS, First Aid Certificate, CSCS. Proven success of running piling projects. In addition to the above, it is essential that individuals have a strong background in demolition and this experience must have been gained whilst working at site management level for a subcontractor in the UK. It is also essential you have a valid CCDO Gold or Black card, as well as good knowledge of CDM systems to be considered.
Additionally, as this is a permanent position, I am looking for an individual who can demonstrate the stability of employment throughout their career. You must also hold a full UK driving license due to the remit of work.
In addition to the above, it is essential that individuals have a strong background in demolition and this experience must have been gained whilst working for a subcontractor in the UK. Additionally, due to project locations, you must hold a full UK driving license and as these are permanent positions, I am looking for individuals who can demonstrate the stability of employment throughout their career, holding each previous post for a minimum of 3 years.
About the benefits and rewards:
For these permanent positions we are targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, however, there may be flexibility on this and specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer (either a fully expensed company van or travel allowance) in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.
